Located in the heart of downtown on Third Street, the Geneva History Museum (GHM) was awarded national accreditation from the American Alliance of Museum in 2022. GHM offers a Main Gallery, “Geneva’s Story,” a feature gallery that changes throughout the year, research facilities, climate controlled storage for collections and artifacts and a Gift Shop with unique Geneva items and souvenirs.

Explore the rich history of Geneva's restaurants, showcasing their unique contributions to the community. Discover the various elements of culinary identity, visual branding, atmosphere & ambiance, and internal perspectives that made these establishments cultural landmarks.
Learn how these restaurants adapted to national trends and tastes. See how they each created a recognizable public image and crafted inviting environments that reflected the personality and style of the dining experience. Immerse yourself in the touchscreen with a map of restaurants and video stories shared by former restaurant owners and employees. Enjoy this unique look into some of Geneva's most cherished dining establishments.

Join us for a 45-minute program on a different topic each month. Registration is recommended and admission is $5 for adults, FREE for Museum Members. (no program December or January)
Museum staff offers guided walking tours with stories of the people and places of Geneva. 50% non-refundable downpayment required at time of booking. Minimum 5 people, $10/person, includes admission to the Museum, and a Goodie Bag full of Geneva Shopping and Dining Offers. Choose your route: Architecture, Cemetery, or Downtown Historic District. The museum offers several programs throughout the year such as Trolley Tours for Swedish Days in June, Cemetery and Ghost Walks in October, and viewing of our magnificent 18th century Crèche in December. Check our calendar of upcoming programs.

Programs can also be given at the Museum. $10/person, flat rate of $100 for groups of 10 or more. *Can be adapted for ages 8 and up, followed by a child-friendly activity.
